This blog about shoe customisation made me realise that the final product needs to have a design edge. the only requirment practically with regards to my project is that it has enough room to house the electronics. but viusally they could be any design/colour/material.

several shoe brands have a custmor designing option where the colours can be selected and personalised, wording/name can be added, traction can changed.
